Why we love them:

  • Wilson’s restaurant and LBC’s taproom offers the best of both worlds. Grab grub from Wilson’s and walk over to LBC, or grab a brew from LBC and enjoy it at Wilson’s. Great food and beer, name a better pairing. We’ll wait.
  • They’ve got LBC’s full lineup of beers on draft, plus house-crafted sodas, spritzers, wine, and liquor cocktails to boot.
  • You won't be surprised by the fact that their kitchen is run by pros who’ve come from Ashley Christensen's restaurants; their Southern-style dishes are frill-free and dripping with flawless flavor.
  • The whole experience is more akin to a beer garden, with an outdoor patio that connects Wilson's to LBC and is always packed with pups and cheery folks.

Wilson's 101

Locals went wild when longtime favorite Lynnwood Brewing Concern opened up a sister restaurant right next door. Why? Because not only did they roll out a Southern-inspired menu filled with fire starters, flatbreads, and sammies, but they also fully combined LBC and Wilson’s into one dreamy experience that serves up the best of both worlds. No longer do you or your crew need to debate between going out for award-winning brews or juicy burgers. Nope, it’s all right here, linked together by a perfect (and v dog-friendly) patio.

Wilson's is located inside Dock 1053, Raleigh’s warehouse-like campus, but don’t be fooled by the rustic gravel roads and old school factory vibe. As soon as you pull up, you’ll quickly see why locals love this spot. Immediately, you're greeted by a gorgeous outdoor patio that’s almost guaranteed to be packed with people and pups alike. It’s a spot lined with picnic tables and funky seating arrangements, making it the perfect post-up for some brews and bites enjoyed al fresco. Inside, Wilson’s is an industrial-chic dream, with warm black walnut and steel accents throughout, spruced up with repurposed farmhouse furniture found and restored American Pickers-style.

While they’ve got a full-service bar that serves liquor-based cocktails, house-made sodas and spritzers, they also offer LBC’s entire lineup of beers on tap ready to be enjoyed with your Southern-fried sammie and fries. But if you’re feeling for the brewery’s chill ambiance, they gotchu there too.

You can grab your grub from Wilson’s then walk right on over to LBC to enjoy your food in the taproom—no questions asked. In fact, they’ve got the liquor situation on lock so if you’re not a big beer drinker, worry not, you can bring your cocktail to the taproom too! Or vice versa, grab a beer at LBC then walk over to Wilson’s to grab a bite to eat.

Wilson’s is seriously changing the status quo for breweries around here. Hitting up this spot is a two for one deal that you can’t find anywhere else.

What To Order

Their kitchen is run by two local superstars who called the shots under the likes of Ashley Christensen, so just know you’re getting the best of the best of Southern-inspired dishes. Here you’ll find shareable starters (like braised and loaded Pork Nachos) to sides (hello bangin’ Belgian Fries!), to over-the-top sandwiches and sensational individual-sized flatbreads. They’ve also got a wide selection of healthy options, like a Market Salad that always features what’s fresh and locally available, plus plenty of vegan and gluten-free options to cover all the bases.

The Southern Fried Chicken is a ‘gram-worthy sammie that’s stacked with crispy chicken thigh, oozing with their house-made pimento (A.K.A. open flame-roasted poblano peppers) and other fixings stuffed within a brioche bun. When it's gone viral with local foodies, you know it's good.

Cha Cha’s BLT is a classic choice here, and with good reason. It’s loaded with their glazed pork belly made in-house, fresh tomatoes and greens, squeezed between tasty sourdough. There's also the Ell Bell’s Double Cheeseburger, which starts with house-made patties of London brisket and chuck, packed in generously thick slices of local bread. Now if that hasn’t sold ya, it’s worth noting, some of the items are nicknamed after their children (aw!). Take your guess at which ones.

Ask anybody about Wilson’s and they’ll rave about their flatbreads. It’s quickly become one of their claims to fame and is the owner’s fave thing on the menu. They’ve got classics like the Neapolitan that's perfect for simple pizza lovers, while the Old School is a step up, elevated with sausage, pepperoni, peppers, and red onion.

They’ve also got the Veggie which is a light, white sauce-based flatbread topped with veggies galore. If you’re really going for the Wilson’s experience, get the Pork & Pimento Cheese. It’s got all their in-house made delicacies (braised pork, pimento cheese, pickled red onion, and more) in every bite. Planning on hitting them up on a weekend? Make sure to get a taste of their weekend brunch that runs from 11a-3p. They serve a specialty Bacon, Egg, & Cheese flatbread that checks all the boxes.

Pro Tips

  • While you can’t redeem your perk on their app, ordering via their MobileBytes app makes ordering convenient and super easy peasy. Check it out during your next visit.

  • They’ve got an extremely dog-friendly patio, but that’s no surprise, considering 5% of all food sales go to local animal charities. They’re doing dog’s—er, we mean god’s work.

  • Snag their flight special: four drafts for only $9. And on Wednesdays, growler refills of all nine of their year-round beers are only $9.99.

  • Every Saturday + Sunday from 11a-3p, they’re serving up a bangin' brunch paired with mimosas, bloodies, and other surprise sips (one Bloody Maria pls!).

  • Gluten-free folks flock here for the Lynnwood Light, their famous gluten-reduced beer. But if you're not a big beer drinker, no problem. You can order choice cocktails over at Wilson’s then walk over to Lynnwood to sip the day away.

  • Keep an eye on their social for seasonal specials. Last summer they had refreshing frosé flavors and sangria. Word has it they're working on a winter sangria, but you'll have to stay tuned to find out.

  •  They’ve also got a chef-curated kid’s menu that’ll keep the ordering easy and is a far cry from your average happy meal.
