We're bummed to hear that Korean fusion restaurant Kimbap will be closing its doors after Saturday, June 16th. The cafe brought fresh, local flair to traditional Korean dishes, and always spiced up our lunch breaks. Check out Kimbap's announcement below, and make sure to get over there in the next two weeks to eat as many dumplings, fried chicken tacos, and overflowing rice bowls as you can muster.
"Dear customers and friends near and far,
We are sad to bring you this news today, but the time has come. Kimbap will be closing its doors.
We thank you allowing us to feed you and get to know you over the past 5 years. Thank you for being with us. Embracing us in the neighborhood and being a part of our lives.
Thank you to all the chefs, restaurants, culinary and service professionals who welcomed me to the restaurant scene with open arms, kindness and guidance, it means so much.
And the amazing farmers and vendors who work tirelessly to bring us beautiful ingredients.
And to the Kimbap staff. I hardly have the words. You have embraced our customers as though they are family. You have built this community. You have fed and nourished our guests. You have been with me through good and bad times.
Our last day of service will be Saturday, June 16th. For the next 2 weeks, we are celebrating all the fabulousness that we have had the opportunity to be a part of!
With love, respect and gratitude, Kim" - Kimbap
