A 70-Year-Old Triangle Favorite Will Close

Finch's Restaurant, which opened in 1945 in Raleigh and recently moved to Durham, will close April 15. Finch's became a favorite for the diner-style breakfast menu, often with lines snaking out the door on weekends. Finch's moved from its West Peace Street in Raleigh when construction projects demanded it be destroyed. They relocated to Durham a few months later finding a home at 3211 Chapel Hill Road. Now, just five months later, they're closing up shop and it sounds like it's for good.

Finch's posted to Facebook:

"To all of our old & new friends, this Sunday, April 15th, will be our last day to serve all of you. All of us deeply appreciate all of the love & support we have been shown and we couldn’t thank you more. We’re saddened to announce the news, but it’s time to retire. The new shop opening up will be East Cut, so make sure to check them out! They will be serving gourmet sandwiches, soup, salads, beer, and wine, as well as some corn hole out front for a nice summer day."
