This fantastic shop in Cameron Village is next to Moon & Lola. The Local Squirrel features hand-crafted, locally made items from Raleigh and around the state. The Local Squirrel focuses mainly on home accessories and gift items, but also features an assortment of jewelry and paintings as well. Not everything in their collection is in the showroom, so be sure to browse through the iPad on the front desk to see the rest of the collection they have stored in the warehouse. You do not want to miss out on that perfect modernist dream table or chair you’ve been searching for!
Deco is your go-to spot for all things Raleigh. The shop is an active supporter of Raleigh’s downtown community and a great place to find something handcrafted and symbolic of our city. If you have out-of-town guests visiting, Deco is the place to take them find the perfect Raleigh souvenir!
Great art prints and pillows can help bring a little Raleigh flavor into any home! I personally love local artist Autumn Cobeland’s painting of the Triangle Greenway System and she (and Deco) give a percentage of the sales back to the TGS and City of Raleigh Parks & Rec. Shop local Raleigh!
Some of the nicest people you will meet, this gem of a place hosts unique items unlike anything else you will find in Raleigh. The owners have curated a worldly collection of one-of-a-kind pieces from around NC and the globe. The carefully selected collection is mostly vintage and antique items that have proven to stand the test of time. Every single item in Holder Goods is for sale and the collection is always changing. Be on the look out for the fabulous offering of great coffee table books! Local artists also rotate through, featuring works on display and for sale. Look out for scheduled events or exhibitions by local artists during First Friday. Be sure to stop by next door neighbor Boulted Bread for a delicious afternoon snack.
