Bang some pots out with pottery. Located near NC State, the Pullen Arts Center classes can teach you everything from making a lamp to bowls to decorate your home. Act fast though the center is closing temporarily in November for renovations. If you miss the on campus feel of school starting and want to learn a new craft, check out NC State University Craft Center. They offer a variety of classes open to the public, including photography, jewelry and metals or lapidary (aka working with precious stones, something you won't find just anywhere). Also, they offer studio space so you can keep up your craft.
