From wine slushies to tastings, Grinder's Switch is serving up dry and sweet vino varieties from right here in Middle Tennessee.
Strolling through the shops at
is the perfect way to spend a Saturday or Sunday, especially if you've got friends or family in town. And while it is home to two distilleries, there is only one winery located inside the old automobile factory—Grinder's Switch. When you walk into the brightly painted space, you'll be greeted by smiling staffers that are ready to give you the scoop on several varieties of sweet and dry vinos. While the vineyards are located just down the road in Centerville, the Marathon Village location offers a 22-foot bar where you can taste varieties like Honeysuckle Rose, Blackberry Express and Three-Eighty-Two (a dry red).
Tasting fees range from $3 to $6 and are waived when you purchase two or more bottles. Pro tip: if you're planning to spend time browsing in Marathon Village, order a wine slushy to sip while you shop! The slushies are just $2 and you can pick which wine you'd like to swirl into your frozen concoction.
