Walk Through the Robinson Rock House Ruins
Today, 8:00a - 5:00p
Explore the remnants of a plantation era cabin that now makes for an unconventional home to plants and animals.
Not much is left of the Robinson Rock House, a home built in the mid 18th century. But it now makes for a great alternative playground and photo op setting. You can reach this area by getting into Reedy Creek Park and taking any of the more popular trails.
About Reedy Creek Park:
This park has got a lot: from running trails (duh) to hiking trails, biking to picnic tables, basketball courts to nature center, disc golf courses and playgrounds. You won't believe you're actually still very much in the city once you step onto the grounds. The trails that cut through forests offer lots of exploring to do – like climbing the colossal and gnarly Osage Orange Tree or visiting the ruins of the Robinson Rock House. We recommend coming over one a weekend afternoon, packing up the kids, the pup, a few snacks, and getting lost in these woods.
