Celebrate Charlotte's local filmmakers at the 48 Hour Film Project premier. The event includes 24 short films all made in a single weekend!

By Kelsey Van
The 48 Hour Film Project is a worldwide competition and film festival that celebrates the creativity of local filmmakers and provides the chance to screen a film at Cannes! Here's how it works: film teams draw, at random, a genre of film, and are then assigned a character's name, a prop and a line of dialogue. The clock starts ticking and 48 hours later a 7 minute short film is due! It's quite the competition and will definitely make for an entertaining evening. At the film screening, the audience will vote for best film (wahoo!) and that film will compete against the 135 films chosen by other participating cities.
