Don't worry, there will be alcohol! Each night of this week-long event will feature unique talents from the area in both the culinary and beverage worlds.

"Celebrate the Grand Opening of The Kitchen Raleigh every afternoon from Monday, January 28th through Friday, Feb. 1st. We are excited to show our new space during that special time of day when restaurants and bars transition from day to night: The Happy Hour. We are creating 5 unique events, from 4-7pm, featuring food and beverage from the local community.

**What is the Kitchen Raleigh?

Last September, four companies assembled to build a creative environment unique to the city. An Architect, a Photographer, a Designer and a Podcaster, along with their respective team members, created what they affectionately refer to as ‘The Kitchen’. We got together because we love and support the food and beverage industry and embody the creative nature of a kitchen.

The four businesses are:

**Why isn't this a Happy Hour?

Because in North Carolina, the ABC Rule 2S.0232 (b) states: “An on‐premise permittee shall not give away a drink or sell the drink for any period of time less than one full business day.” exists. In plain speak, we can't discount drinks for specific time of day, thus the hours from 4-7pm in North Carolina are not as happy as possible. We want to change that so we are providing our own example.

Join us every night between the hours of 4-7pm the last week of January. And since this is a free event, since we aren't a restaurant, a bar, or a club, we aren't breaking any laws. We are simply providing an opportunity to socialize, network, eat and drink merrily.

Each night will feature unique talent from the area in both the culinary and beverage worlds.

Some participants include:

Locals Oyster Bar

Crude Bitters

Dram & Draught

Sucre & Sel

Trophy Tap + Table + Brewing

The Oak

Sidebar Cary

Crankarm Brewing

Chef Bobby McFarland"
