"The Triangle North Carolina is invited to celebrate Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the NC State Fairgrounds.
This festival has a main stage for cultural dance, folklore, skits, choral and musical performances, comedy, and martial arts. Surrounding the stage is DOZENS of tables selling authentic Asian foods prepared by Chinese cultural clubs, a Buddhist temple, vegetarian clubs, and Asian grocers. There will also be arts, calligraphy, crafts, stamping, and other family-friendly activities that showcase Chinese history and language.
The Chinese or Lunar New Year officially starts on Tuesday, February. 5, 2019 and is the year of the Pig in the Chinese zodiac.
