The Best Bread You've Ever Had, Baked in Raleigh
Today, Closed Today
Baked with love, Boulted Bread is a lil' spot well worth supporting. Heirloom grains and a localvore attitude will leave you feeling like your grandma is the mastermind behind every loaf in the shop.
There's a reason that "Wonder" preceded "Bread" in the grocery store, and it's time we put the myths to rest. There really isn't anything better than sliced bread. However, after the Wonder Bread folks tasted an early loaf from Boulted Bread in 2013, they rightly filed for bankruptcy
and relinquished the enviable "wonder" title to Raleigh's best new bakery.
Founded by some local Raleighite talent, Boulted Bread actually
sold their first loaves in 2014. The trio cut their teeth at a number of bakeries across North Carolina and Vermont before opening their quaint shop near Boylan Heights. In addition to selling bread at the bakery, Boulted provides the bread for Capital Club 16, Gravy, Mandolin, Stanbury, and Fiction Kitchen.
Come snag a Ciabatta loaf, a baguette, or tasty pastry—this Raleigh bakery is on the rise.
