Here's what you need to know to get your hands on the beer ASAP:
-- Tapworks has over 40 beers and ciders on tap, with a focus on local brewers, as well as four wines.
-- When you walk in, you'll get a special Tapworks card. You can either open a tab, or put a specific amount of money on the card (if you want to give yourself a limit).
-- After that, you can grab a glass and start working your way down the long line of taps (no need to wait for a bartender here)! Each tap has a screen above it telling you a little bit about the beer, wine, or cider and what the price is.
-- Each tap is priced per ounce, with prices ranging from about $0.24 an ounce (about $4 a pint), to upwards of $0.75 an ounce.
-- Once you put your card in the reader above the tap, you can start pouring. The screen will tell you how much you've spent, like at a gas station.
-- The fun thing here is, you can serve yourself as much or as little as you want, perfect for tasting a few brews before deciding what you want to commit to, or just doing samples all night if you like variety. This can also be a nice way to taste more expensive brews that you might be wary to shell out for a full glass of.
-- While they anticipate some mainstays always being available, they plan on continuously rotating about half the taps, so every time you come in, you can try something new. You can check their updated tap list on their website.
-- The taproom also has a menu of upscale bar food (think, nachos with brisket or duck wings), and games you can borrow to keep you entertained all night long.
