Take a Tour of the Bechtler
Today, 10:00a - 5:00p
A stunning structure worthy of its own praise containing 20th century works of art carefully curated by an established Swiss family.
Dedicated to collecting 20th century art and being one of the two buildings in the United States designed by acclaimed minimalist Swiss architect Mario Botta, the Bechtler is a treat, both for its content and for its design. Walk through these spacious rooms and you'll have stunning views of the exhibits within and of the interior of the building itself: the floors, walls, and windows are positioned in such a way to make you feel suspended midair among colossal geometric plains. The masterpieces that inhabit this elegant building carry some known greats: Miró, Giacometti, Picasso, Calder, le Corbusier, Warhol—all collected by the Bechtler family of Switzerland all released from their privacy just a handful of years ago. Have yourself an elegant weekend getaway, grab a snack at their snazzy cafe, and venture these halls.
