As you walk up the stairs to the right of Salud Beer Shop in NoDa, you will find a door. That door leads to a world of great beer and amazing art. The stairway to heaven (a.k.a. Salud Cerveceria) is lined with 1920s dictionary pages. Once you reach the top, you will be greeted by a gallery of artwork created by local artists (available for sale). When you reach the bar, you will notice it is made of 1,200 wooden blocks that were hand-cut and stained. The attention to detail is a theme in Salud Cerveceria's space and beer! Now about the beer. Head brewer Adam Glover tested several of the beers on taps at Salud Beer Shop before opening. Expect a range of beers with some pizazz, but nothing too over-the-top. At opening they'll likely have a passionfruit IPA, Belgian-style called Mesa Para Uno and a stout. Salud Cerveceria also shares the space with Trade and Lore, a coffee shop (you might know them as the reincarnated The Daily Press). Trade and Lore slings beautiful coffee drinks during the day and Salud pours pints in the afternoon and evening.
