Five bands team up for an epic Screw Cancer Benefit show. It will be an evening of great music and helping one of the members of Greensboro's Old Heavy Hands during his battle with cancer.

"Screw Cancer Benefit: Antique Hearts, Dragmatic, Hank Sinatra, John Howie Jr, Larry Wayne Slaton of Old Heavy Hands

Our brother Nate Hall of Greensboro's Old Heavy Hands has just gone through surgery to remove a very rare case of cancer. (surgery went great!) He has a very long road ahead of chemotherapy and healing. We are coming together as a community to help him and his family get through this very tough time. Please come out on December 8th to The Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh for an evening of great music and most importantly helping out brother Nate.

This event will have a suggested donation of $10 and a the option to donate more.

Genre: Americana, Alt-Country

Location: Raleigh, NC

Emerging from Raleigh, North Carolina, The Antique Hearts blend traits of Americana, Country, and Rock, bringing a sense of roots energy backed by a "heart-on-the-sleeve" writing style. Since coming together in early 2015, Zach Gregory, Matt Austin, Christian Ulrich, and Katie Cooper have been pushing the sounds of alt-country, while looking back at the styles of the old American greats.

Genre: Alt-Country/Indie/Power Pop

Location: Raleigh, NC

"Dragmatic excels at the sort of hook-driven underdog rock that once roared out of every corridor of this fine country, from Tempe's Gin Blossoms to Buffalo's Goo Goo Dolls to just about every band from Minneapolis. Romantic, tough-minded, and pitched expertly on the precipice between ramshackle and righteous, tunes like the self-recriminating "This is Nowhere" and the loping valentine "Home Tonight" make it feel like 1986 again, in the best way possible." - The Indy

Genre: Rock & Roll

Location: Raleigh, NC

"Hank Sinatra storms like a hellbent Bakersfield boy punching it with some friends in a stuffy garage. With an enticing mix of hardcore, early '70s garage rock, and honky-tonk, these boys bring the country music scene to a different level"-The Indy

Genre: Americana/Honky-tonk/Country-rock

Location: Chapel Hill, NC

Post-Two Dollar Pistols honky-tonk and soulful country-rock.

Genre: Rock & Roll

Location: North Carolina

They say appearances are everything, but in the case of North Carolina's tattooing troubadours, Old Heavy Hands, appearance is a livelihood. The unassuming trio comprised of Nate Hall, Larry Wayne and David Self are crafting some of the finest southern music. Old Heavy Hands lives just as comfortably on the record shelf next to Willie Nelson or Neil Young as it does between Lucero and Wilco."
