The Palace International is a family-owned restaurant owned by Kenyan natives. The original Palace opened in 1989 and quickly became a staple, but sadly burned down in 2001. But in 2007, owners Carine and Maurice Ochola decided it was time to bring their restaurant back, opening The Palace International as we know it on Broad St. Now managed by the couple and their children, this restaurant offers a warm, family-style experience while crafting authentic East and West African eats, plus occasional live music and cultural events. The menu is sure to get you salivating, with options like the Veggie Karanga (seasoned veggies sauteed in curry, ginger, garlic and onions, topped with red peppers and served with potatoes) and Dovi Chicken (chicken marinated overnight with tropical juices, baked and infused with groundnut sauce)!
