Today, 11:00a - 2:00a
Where do you go in Chapel Hill to celebrate national championships, old friends, and everything in-between? Well, TOPO, of course!
Top of the Hill—or TOPO as it's known on UNC's campus—is a Chapel Hill establishment with a stunning panoramic view of downtown from the deck and cold beer brewed in-house. You'll feel right at home every time you visit.
In 1994, UNC Law student Scott Maitland decided to open TOPO when he heard that a T.G.I. Friday's was considering moving into downtown Chapel Hill. He quickly put together a plan to take back the building on the corner of Franklin and Columbia streets that T.G.I. Friday's was planning on occupying. Years later, Maitland still believes in the hyper-local lifestyle. TOPO is the 8th oldest surviving brewery in North Carolina, and, as country's largest brewpub in beer sold per square foot, patrons drain 60 kegs a week.
Get your night started with the Frank Graham Porter or the Blue Ridge Blueberry Wheat, if you can get your hands on a pint. If you prefer spirits, make sure you try one of their craft cocktails with TOPO gin, vodka, or moonshine whiskey.
