The Al Buehler Trail is the perfect place to escape from the chaos of work—one loop on the 2.91 mile wooded trail will put a smile on even the most stressed out face.

Located in the picturesque Duke Forest, the Al Buehler Trail is 2.91 miles long and open to anyone looking to get fit! The trail is made of fine gravel and you'll have plenty of interesting trees and wildlife to keep you occupied during your run or walk. The shade helps make running during the warmer months more bearable and you'll crave the beauty of the woods during the cooler months. If you're looking for a more challenging edition of the trail, try running it counterclockwise—the hills are steeper and more frequent. Even if you aren't a runner, this trail is a great place to take a stroll after work to blow off steam from a tough week or just enjoy nature. The main parking lot is located at the intersection of Erwin Road and Cameron Boulevard, but it can get pretty crowded from 4–6p when everyone is getting off of work. If you can't find a spot in the main lot, check other spots down Cameron Boulevard.
