Sling some paint and serve your community on a Saturday afternoon spent volunteering with artists beautifying the Rail Trail.

Play a part in a public art project along the Rail Trail by signing up to volunteer to help paint. Yep, volunteer to get artsy and contribute to Charlotte's cultural scene. You don't need to be a trained artist to participate, but skilled artists are welcome! Sign up here to volunteer.

Baltimore-based artist duo Jessie & Katey are painting a total of three awesome murals on the Rail Trail thanks to ArtPlace America grant funding. In March 2016, the artists paid a visit to Charlotte to host a series of hands-on community workshops and gather input for the final mural designs. Murals will go at the Shook Kelley site, MLK Blvd. (behind One Wells Fargo Building) and Hoffman & Hoffman (north of the New Bern station).
