Parade Uptown for CLT Pride
Be proud for Pride—the Queen City's very own festival and parade festivities are the third largest in the south. Now don something colorful and support your local community!
Uptown Charlotte hosts a massive gathering of musicians, performers, vendors, paraders, events and festivities each year for its very own Pride! This two-day celebration of the local LGBTQ community brings together herds of happy peeps and some of Charlotte's diverse community members in one place—there were more than 100,000 attendees in 2014! Be prepared to shimmy and shake down Tryon Street and be surrounded by blasting music and rainbows—the happy vibes are really infectious here! Did we mention live performances by Estelle and Billy Gilman? CLT doesn't mess around! Note: the festival will take place throughout the entire weekend, while the parade will occur on the afternoon of Sunday August 16th. And yes, it's all free!
