Neko Case, singer-songwriter and vocalist of The New Pornographers, is coming to UNC’s campus. Her most recent album, “Hell-On,” was released in June of this year following a five-year gap in her solo work. After years discovering how to claim her own work and centered her vision, she is finally re-joining the scene.
A rebel from a young age, Case left home at 15 and then at 18 she became a punk band drummer. From there, her journey and musical style evolved. Now she's here with a new album and fresh eyes.
To hear some of Case’s smoky vocals paired with country ballads, check out her song “I Wish I Was the Moon.”
