The Mint Museum Uptown features a wide variety of craft artwork and multicultural pieces from American and European artists.

Behind the towering stairs lie unspeakable beauties. The gorgeous cube-like structure isn't the only thing worth noting at the Mint—it's one of the few homes to the Craft + Design collection, a renowned melee of American, European and contemporary art pieces made of glass, wood, ceramic and other materials. The establishment has dedicated itself intently to preserving works of art from diverse backgrounds and cultures, celebrating their individuality. Designed by Machado & Silvietti Associates of Boston, this five-story museum also includes the James B. Duke Auditorium, the Lewis Family Gallery, art studios, a restaurant, and a sizable museum shop. Delve into the arts and educate yourself on unique pieces from a heterogeneous pool of backgrounds, cultures and stories. Remember, the Mint's collection spans two museums! Mint Museum Randolph was the first art museum in the state and is housed in the original branch of the United States Mint. Enjoy a beautiful park setting and gorgeous galleries filled with treasures from the ancient Americas, ceramics and decorative arts, European and African art, among other collections. The Mint makes it easy to explore both museums in one day with the free Mint-to-Mint shuttle. Shuttles depart Mint Museum Randolph on the hour and Mint Museum Uptown on the half hour. Bonus: Museum admission is always valid at both locations for two days!
