Lap Up Lagers at Little Harpeth Brewing
Today, Closed Today
Little Harpeth Brewing creates German lagers consistent with the beers of pre-Prohibition Middle Tennessee just over the river in East Nashville.
Little Harpeth has been brewing beer since 2012, but only just opened its taproom in mid-2015. The German-inspired lagers include two perennial beers, Chicken Scratch and Upstream, plus seven "occasionals", such as Bison Bock, Prost! and High Water. The brewery also offers the "Out on a Limb" series, an experimental and rotating cast of small batch craft lagers. Out on a Limb batches are only available in the taproom.
Of note—they do not serve food, so be sure you aren't arriving with an empty stomach! The taproom has plenty of ways to pass the time while drinking, including cornhole, ping pong, giant Jenga and foosball, and they routinely host live music performed by local bands, averaging about two concerts a month.
