Journey Back in Time at Dickens of a Christmas
Don't be a Scrooge—celebrate Dickens of a Christmas in downtown Franklin!
Revere the holidays of yesteryear, back when Charles Dickens would have walked the streets of downtown Franklin. For its 33rd year, Dickens of a Christmas will welcome around 200 musicians, dancers and characters in period costumes to take over Main Street for a free festival. Guests are encouraged to add to the ambiance by dressing in Victorian-era attire.
Beyond the themed getups, you'll find chestnuts roasting on an open fire, sugar plums and heartier old English fare, horse-drawn carriage rides, a petting zoo for the kiddos and over 100 yuletide vendors. The forecast is even calling for "snow!" Be sure to stick around for the "town sing" of classic Christmas carols at the end of each day.
