Dining at Yamazushi is an experience all its own. If you're lucky enough to score a seat, you'll be treated to a multi-course meal of artful small plates served in a traditional, ceremonial fashion.
"'Where there is an art of preparation, there is an art of eating.'
We opened in March of 1986 with the mission to serve the most authentic Japanese cuisine in the Triangle. We strive to create a warm and peaceful environment in our small, intimate restaurant. We only serve a handful of patrons per night, allowing us to truly provide the best dining experience.
We are delighted to feature the traditional Japanese dining, kaiseki. Kaiseki is a multicourse dinner that features a variety of small, artful dishes, prepared only with fresh, in-season ingredients. The dishes are served in a ceremonial fashion, resulting in a lovely, leisurely dining experience.
We also offer the finest Japanese teas prepared in the traditional Japanese ceremonial fashion, and a sake pairing created by our own sake sommelier.
Ours is a truly unique way of enjoying traditional, authentic Japanese cuisine." — Yamazushi
