Indulge in the Science of Sweet Eats
We all know how sugar affects our taste buds (mmm, yummy!), but do you know how sugar affects your brain? Or how your genes affect your perception of sweet things? Yeah, we don't either. Find out!
You're invited to partake in all-you-can-eat confections, pastries, and all sorts of sweet creations made by renowned local chefs, all the while sipping on cocktails and beer and soaking in new knowledge. Really, what could be better? Well, did we mention there'll be sixty-five thousand square feet
of this glorious goodness? Ohhhh yes.
The next installment of the Durham Museum of Life and Science's AfterHours event is "The Science of Eats: Sweets" and it's dedicated to indulging your hunger for sweets and quenching your thirst for knowledge. One ticket gets you access to paradise, along with experiments and demonstrations on sugar and what it does to your brain, body, and the concoctions it's put into! And if that's not enough, there will be food trucks, craft beer, and music out front to enjoy afterwards.
Note: This event is for ages 21+ and has limited tickets available. Better snag your ticket soon
before they sell out!
