Chef Sunny Gerhart, an Ashley Christian alum, is bringing a dash of his New Orleans heritage to the former Joule spot. St. Roch (pronounced like Rock), is an oyster bar with creole influence. So what's on the menu? You'll find oysters and clams on the half shell, duck and sausage gumbo and brioche beignets. For now, all seafood is sourced from Raleigh-based company Locals Seafood, a company that buys from NC fisherman. The drink menu looks just as desirable as the food menu, with a selection of bubbles, wine, cocktails and beer. The wooden bar has a story behind it, too. The wood came from old church pews.
