Doug Wright's one-man play is the true story of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, a transvestite and celebrated antique dealer who successfully navigated the two most oppressive regimes of the past century - the Nazis and the Communists.

While openly gay, von Mahlsdorf was both hailed as a cultural hero and accused of collusion. In the play, Wright travels from New York to Berlin to interview Charlotte and is instantly enchanted by her colorful accounts of overcoming extreme obstacles.

Brian Westbrook plays Charlotte, Doug and each of the play's 33 other characters."
