Hear Tried-and-True Bluegrass at the Station Inn
Today, 7:00p - 12:00a
Bluegrass pickers will showcase their talent at this Nashville institution with international acclaim.
The Station Inn may have changed owners a time or two since it opened back in 1974, but over the years the venue's reputation as the place to hear bluegrass music in Nashville has remained constant (the likes of Ricky Scaggs and Alison Krauss have graced their stage). Today, the Station Inn may just be the only vintage
structure located in the trendy Gulch neighborhood. The place is rockin' nearly every night of the week with a well-priced show
that's easy on the wallet ($10-15), but come in on Sunday for their FREE Bluegrass Jam at 8 PM.
Surrounded by new construction, the venue is a site for sore eyes—a piece of nostalgia for Nashville natives. Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, you'll feel at home in this intimate venue with a coffee-house vibe. Because of the size of this joint, you'll wanna arrive about 30 minutes early. A note to the gluten-intolerant: they only serve beer and a limited menu that includes pizza—it's a cruel, cruel world, isn't it?
