If you're looking to try a new cocktail you should probably head towards Fiction Kitchen. They offer a cocktail called "The Dirty Beetz" which includes NC beet Syrup, lime juice, lime zest, orange juice, orange zest and vodka. The flavor from the beet syrup balances out well with the citrus in the drink so the beets flavor is more subtle, accentuating it's earthiness and sweetness but not the"dirt" taste that can be associated with vegetables. If beets just aren't your thing try the Krupnikas Old Fashioned instead. It contains Krupnikas Spiced Honey Liqueur, made with local honey from the Brothers Vigalys distillery.
Fiction Kitchen is Raleigh's only restaurant to offer an all Vegan and Vegetarian menu. Carnivores, you may be doubtful but rest assured that Fiction Kitchen will take normal veggies and turn them into a masterpiece for your mouth. Although the menu has no meat its entrees can satisfy even the rarest of steak eaters. The amazing food is accompanied by an equally delightful cocktail, beer, and dessert list. If you’re craving a home cooked meal without the greasy, weighed down feeling then Fiction Kitchen is the place to eat. The charming décor paired with the lively atmosphere also makes Fiction Kitchen a cozy date spot. Be warned though, this place is popular and they don’t take reservations so there is usually a wait. If you’re on a time crunch you may want to plan ahead.
