Get Proud at NC Pride
Durham plays host to over 10k supporters and celebrators for NC's largest pride event. Outfit recommendations: the more colorful, the better!
Pride has a long history in Durham, starting with North Carolina's first Pride parade in 1981. Now the gathering has morphed into the largest pride event in the three-state area, including South Carolina and Tennessee!
For the past 16 years, the NC Pride festival has been held on the last Saturday of September. As of July 1, the Pride Committee of NC has been working on a solution to the date overlap of NC Pridefest and the High Holy Days of the Jewish calendar. We are now excited to announce new schedule of events that would allow ALL to attend.
2017 NC Pride at Night:
September 30th 4 pm - 2 am (street festivals 4pm-10pm)
In two locations, both downtown Durham and downtown Raleigh. In Durham, our night festival will be on Rigsbee Ave and in Raleigh, our night festival will be on Harrington Street. See: website schedule of events will be updated regularly. Maps and other details will be updated soon. (5k run and parade are canceled this year but will return in 2018)" — NC Pride
