Get Acquainted with NC's Biggest Sport at the NASCAR Hall of Fame
Today, 10:00a - 6:00p
An entertainment attraction dressed as a museum. The NASCAR Hall of Fame has something for all fans and all ages.
Want to learn a little about NC history and let out your inner Ricky Bobby? We got you. Located in a throughly modern looking, track-shaped building in uptown, the NASCAR Hall of Fame is both a museum and themed entertainment site.
The interior, just as stunning as its facade, is donned with panels illustrating inductee bios and history about the sport and its relation with other important events surrounding it (example – did you know that they were affiliated with moonshine?), but it's also got a gorgeous chronological display of the actual racing vehicles used throughout the decades. Some of the exhibits are highly interactive: you see how the internal engines work and it turn it on yourself, or learn the unique way these cars get their tanks filled. The hands on fun doesn't end here: there are a number of driving simulators that make you feel like you're barreling down the tracks. There's also a little food court where you can snack in between racin' and learnin'. NASCAR lovers will be in a newfound heaven, and others will be just as entertained with the exceptional design.
