It's Time for WRAL First Night Raleigh 2019, the city's go-to destination on December 31st, 2018! Raleigh's own Boulevards brings the funk into the New Year with the acorn drop at midnight!

The day's festivities fill venues from museum lobbies to church sanctuaries to street corners across more than 20 blocks of downtown Raleigh on New Year's Eve, offering entertainment for all ages in a safe, alcohol-free setting. Festivities begin at 2 PM with the Children's Celebration located throughout the NC Museum of History, NC Museum of Natural Science, and Bicentennial Plaza. Adults and children alike can learn new skills for the New Year and see demonstrations from local artists and performers. The Evening Celebration comes alive after the Early Countdown with performances from Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba, as downtown Raleigh fills with art, music, comedy, theatre, and more at indoor and outdoor venues all over town. Lace up your skates and take a spin on the giant roller rink in City Plaza, ride the Ferris Wheel, the Down Draft, or sing your heart out on the Jolly Raleigh Singing Trolley! The evening is full of performances across venues in downtown Raleigh, from electronic music with 80 lb. Test and Senator Jaiz, to bluegrass picking with The Harris Brothers, as well as performances by such artists as: Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba, New Reveille & Friends, Rob Abernethy, Dave Gunning, The Collection, The Glorifying Vines Sisters, ComedyWorx, African American Dance Ensemble, Magic with Joshua Lozoff, BeBop Blues & All That Jazz, and many more!

Regardless of where your evening at WRAL First Night Raleigh takes you, be sure to meet us at the Main Stage on Fayetteville Street for a party with Boulevards and the famous Raleigh Acorn Drop and fireworks at midnight.

We'll see you there to ring in 2019 at WRAL First Night Raleigh!"
