Find Sanctuary at Beaman Park
Today, 6:00a - 9:00p
Embrace solitude as you traverse over 5 miles of rugged hiking trails with soothing sounds of waterfalls and running creeks as your playlist—no earbuds required.
Unlike the congested trails of Percy Warner
or Shelby Bottoms
, you won't be bobbin' and weavin' as you travel the trails at Beaman Park. Located about 25 minutes north, It's an outdoor spot that's flying under the radar of most Nashvillians. You can expect to have trails to yourself, whether you're hiking with a pal or your four-legged friend. Choose from three different hikes up steep hills and through narrow hollows, but watch out—trails tend to get muddy if there's been a real gully washer.
Want to learn about the flora and fauna you'll see on the trails? Stop in the Beaman Nature Center (open Tuesday–Friday, 12–4p and Saturday, 9a–4p). The center has a natural history display inside, plus a 300-foot boardwalk that extends over the grounds.
