Experience Innovative Italian at City House
Today, 5:00p - 10:00p
An Italian restaurant that puts atypical ingredients on pizza and serves an ever-changing Sunday supper chock full of unexpected gems? This spot is guaranteed to rock your world.
This quaint house in Germantown may not catch your eye at first—in fact, there's barely a sign on the door—but once inside the dimly lit, intimate restaurant you'll revel in the innovative flavor profiles and colorful plating. While it is an Italian restaurant, City House goes way beyond the usual pizza and pasta recipes adding a southern twist. Their menu is seasonally based allowing you to indulge in local flavor that is, well, local (mind blowing, we know!). We'd suggest tempting your tastebuds with a Pork Snack if you're there for Sunday Supper like a biscuit stuffed with Benton's country ham and pimento cheese. Want something a little heavier? How about a pizza topped with belly ham, mozzarella, grana padano, oregano, and chilies. If you're in search of lighter fare, order the whole trout served with peppers, vinegar, lemon, onion, garlic, and oregano.
If we lost you at Sunday Supper, allow us to explain. It happens every Sunday. It is an always-changing menu. And it's best when shared (translation: bring yo' bestie!). The kitchen crew seems to think a little-out-of-the-box for this weekly event—you've been warned! But whether you're nibbling on popcorn drizzled with chicken fat and tabasco powder or eating crackers smeared with liver and pepper jelly, we have a feeling you'll be sending your compliments to the chef by the end of the night.
Beyond the food, the drink menu won't disappoint! Choose from beer, bourbon, whiskey, wine or a spirited cocktail. You may need a stiff drink if there's a Sounds game in action—parking will be a bit of a challenge.
