Expect the Unexpected at The Great Cover Up
The Great Cover Up is back. Kings will be packed with with local acts covering renowned bands to support local causes. The catch? The bands remain a mystery until they take the stage.
The Great Cover Up kicked off in 1999 to raise money for victims of Hurricane Floyd and has continuously returned due to massive popularity. Over the years, it's also transformed from a one-night event to a weekend extravaganza. This Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, local acts will take the stage imitating famous bands of their choice. Bands in the past have gone all out donning wigs and costumes to play the part.
The bands are kept under wraps until the big event, but no matter who takes the stage, it's a guaranteed good time and benefits some awesome local organizations. This year, proceeds benefit InterAct, the SPCA, Kidznotes and The Beehive Collective. Tickets are cash only and are purchased at the door!
