"The Pit's 9th Annual 'Cuegrass Festival returns to the warehouse district of downtown Raleigh Saturday, April 15, with a jam-packed day full of great 'cue, local brews and toe-tappin' bluegrass music!
We're closing down the streets around The Pit and firing up the pig cookers to serve plenty of our famous Eastern North Carolina-style barbecue and a selection of locally made beers. On the stage we'll have some of our favorite bands:
12–12:45 p.m. - Christiane & The Strays
1:15–2 p.m. - Moore Brothers Band
2:30–3:15 p.m. - The Malpass Brothers
3:45–4:30 p.m. - Time Sawyer
5–6 p.m. - Old Habits
It's all for a good cause. Again this year we're giving proceeds to SAFEchild and to the Junior League of Raleigh's BackPack Buddies program, which provides weekend meals to more than 125 children Lacy and Hunter Elementary Schools. This year, we're also donating some of the proceeds to Team Chris Combs to Strike Out ALS and we'll support Raleigh Cub Scout Pack 325.
$5 suggested donation at the entrance. We're kid-friendly, dog-friendly and lawn chair-friendly." –The Pit
