Enjoy an Alternative View of the City in Romare Bearden Park
Just what the city needed! This patch of nature in Uptown has become a new hotspot for picnics, musical performances, and sun appreciation.
Grab a good book, a picnic blanket, and have a little fun in the sun. The Romare Bearden garden is a manicured, elegantly designed park conveniently located in Uptown across from the BB&T stadium, so you can take a little walk in the green grass in between a Charlotte's Knights' ball game or Panthers' half time. The space if very roomy, made predominantly of open fields and a few flower gardens. The towering water fountain lights up at night making for a decorative addition to the city even in its less traversed hours. Many come here to get a little fresh air during a lunch break while picking and choosing between the food trucks and listening to live music. Take your dog for a walk without getting too far from home, or take a stroll with some friends to enjoy the night lights after a dinner date.
