EARTH DAY MARKET
Festival goers will enjoy a showcase of environmentally friendly businesses and organizations sharing information and resources with the community. Attendees can browse and shop from our local, hand-made green goods, crafts and visit the stage to hear and see more.
"GO GREEN" ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION

Participants are encouraged to "go green" by biking, walking, skating, carpooling or riding DATA and Triangle Transit to the festival. Festival goers can come out and see some of the latest hybrid vehicles on the market.
Members of Durham's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission will host a valet bicycle parking service. Located near the corner of Hunt St. – ride in and check your bicycle for free! Get your bike checked for safety and learn how to change a flat as well.
FREE DOCUMENT SHREDDING
(Located at 412 Morris St.)
12 p.m.-3 p.m.
Proshred Security Document Destruction will provide services for shredding documents. Bring your paper documents to our drive-through area. We will be set up to collect your materials. These services are free and open to the public. The following items will be accepted: all paper, file folders, hanging files, computer files, computer paper, notepads, envelopes, and CDs/DVDs.

Festival goers and vendors will go green when they dispose of their waste at the Zero Waste stations. Each station will have areas for recycle, compost, and landfill. A Waste Warrior will be available at each station to assist with sorting and any questions.
THE BLUE GREEN MACHINE
BYOB – Bring your own (water) bottle for water refills from the Blue Green Machine! Help reduce waste at this event by bringing your own bottle or cup. This mobile system cools and dispenses on-demand drinking water.
Come hungry! Food will be available for purchase from CocoCrissi Tropical Icee's, Cool Breezes, Tooties Mobile Kitchen, Bruster's Real Ice Cream, Pita Delita, Bel'le Full Vending, 454 Grill, and 815 Gourmet Grill.
FAMILY FUN ZONE
Kids will have a blast while engaging with the natural world! Featuring hands-on activities from: Music Explorium, McPhetridge Family Farm, Durham County Library, Family Literacy and Community Services, and Child Care Services Association. Also included will be the Bookmobile of Durham, City of Durham Fire Department, Face Painting, and Schoolhouse of Wonder.
EARTH DAY PARADE
Participants can make their own parade percussion instruments and dress up as their favorite plant or animal. The parade line up begins at 2:55 p.m. The parade starts at 3:00 p.m. sharp!
