Begin your tour at the Visitor Center and buy tickets to visit the inside of President Andrew Johnson's birthplace, learn why the Badger-Iredell Law Office has turquoise wall paint and see the beautifully preserved Mordecai House. The trolley tour, operating on Saturdays, is also a fun option to learn local Raleigh history. Be careful, tours don't operate if a field trip is in session! Call 919-996-4364 Tuesday–Sunday to check on tour availability. We live in a cool city and learning about its history makes for a fun day trip, close to home. Tours are $5 for adults and $3 for kids, trolley tours have an additional cost.
