Announced at the end of last summer, Kaiju Bowl and Bao has finally set an opening date for July 6. The restaurant—run by Ken Yowell (current owner of Oak City Meatball Shoppe and Calavera Empanadas & Tequila) and Anna Holland—will serve up ramen, steamed buns, chicken wings, and other yummy Asian-inspired surprises. Some folks already got a taste of their goods at Thrive NC last month, and we hear the pork belly and kale ramen is to die for.
The restaurant will be open for lunch throughout July, except on Sundays. No reservations will be taken at this time, so you may have to wait—but from what we've seen so far, it'll be worth it.
