Take a walk around the outdoor exhibit at the NC Museum of Art. There are a bunch of different sculptures and it gives you a great opportunity to get to know someone.

There are many exhibits at the NCMA, but the cloud room is by far a fan favorite. Walking into the Cloud Chamber is like stepping into a giant pin hole camera and the walls are the film. Located about a half a mile from the entrance to the Museum, the Cloud Chamber is a little bit off the beaten path, but still not difficult to find. Here's a map of the NCMA Park—the Cloud Chamber is #22. While on your walk there take a look at some of the other amazing exhibits. The trail around the NCMA actually goes all the way to Meredith College, so if it's warm enough out, you can head over to Ben and Jerry's for a mid walk snack. The best part about this date (or experience if you prefer to go with a friend) is that you get to interact and it's absolutely free.

About North Carolina Museum of Art:

A visit to NCMA will allow you and your companion(s) to decompress and enjoy the best of NC culture, mostly for free. Whether you choose to walk around the Rodin garden, to perch yourself amid the rolling park hills for a picnic, or to enjoy the running/biking trails that zig-zag through the campus, there is something for all occasions and all people at NCMA.
