After over $19 million in renovations, the iconic Jack Tar Motor Lodge in downtown Durham has been transformed into the Unscripted Hotel. With mid-century architecture in tact, Unscripted blends vintage vibes with luxurious modern touches. Boasting over 70 rooms, rooftop pool and lounge, coffee shop, bars and restaurants, Unscripted is primed to be your new favorite downtown hangout.
The rooftop plans to regularly host pool parties, outdoor movie screenings, live music, and more. In addition to their inspired cocktail list, they're also serving up an exclusive Fullsteam lager at the bar, and their kitchen is churning out eclectic eats such as sushi cones, breakfast sandwiches, and burgers.
And don't forget to check out Pour Taproom to the left of the hotel's main entrance. At Pour, you pay by the ounce, allowing you to drink as much (no judgment) or as little as you want. With 60+ beers, wines and ciders on tap, you're free to taste them all until you find something that whets your whistle.
Everything at Unscripted is now open to the public, and while there are enough options to keep you busy for a while, there's still more to come!
-- Raleigh favorite, Neomonde Mediterranean Deli, is slated to move into an open space at the hotel, bringing Mediterranean goodness to the hummus-deprived masses.
Stay tuned for more on these openings and other upcoming events!
