Celebrate Four Years of Fullsteam at Their Big Ole Bash

 .  Past

Fullsteam is bringing it for their fourth anniversary. They've planned an impressive, all-day blowout—and we mean ALL day—of Durham-centric food, drink and fun.

Fullsteam's dedicating its fourth birthday to the great city they call home, Durham! Their HYPERLOCAL bash is celebrating some of your favorite Durham food products specially paired with a rare Fullsteam beer. From noon until 5:00pm, every hour on the hour, they'll be giving away food samples of one of the following Durham-based food businesses: Honeygirl Meadery, Firsthand Foods, Big Spoon Roasters, the Brothers Vilgalys, the Parlourn, and Rose's Meat Market and Sweet Shop.

As day turns to night, the focus shifts from Durham food to Durham fun. The evening kicks off with Durham-centric trivia (you'll be competing for local prizes) from 6 to 8pm. Followed by a showing of the Season Two premiere of Brew Dogs, which profiled the brewery creating the highest calorie beer ever with maple syrup and bacon. Next, DJ Layabout will get you groovin' (if the drinks haven't already) by spinning some soul and R&B vinyl. A viewing of The Room will cap off the night.

Oh, and they're getting all P. Diddy on you and asking you to wear white (you know, to get it out of your system since you aren't supposed to rock white after Labor Day). However, we imagine Fullsteam has a more lax dress code than Diddy, so feel free to mix your white with threads of other colors.

About Fullsteam Brewery:

Bent on supporting NC from the plow to the pint, "Chief Executive Optimist" Sean Wilson opened Fullsteam in a former bottling plant on Rigsbee Avenue in '09. Though the decor has changed, the DNA of the bottling plant remains, giving way to a very welcoming, open space composed of brick, blond wood, and creme and red walls. The main room inside of Fullsteam features large communal picnic tables backed by a massive glass wall that separates the drinkers from the towering brewing vats.

On a given day, you'll find Fullsteam filled with all types of customers and activities: large bunches of friends sitting at the picnic tables, dogs tethered to chair legs, a food truck or two, people playing pinball, ping-pong or one of the board games they have on hand and, of course, lots of great beer being consumed.
