Duke University Chapel is reopening its doors after exactly one year of restoration. Don't miss your chance to visit the structure in all its timeless beauty (and new safety)!

By Jordan Lem
The Duke Chapel closed May 2015 for restorations, including ceiling, roof, glass windows, woodwork and floor repairs. But now it's fully fixed and ready to celebrate! The day will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony and organ demonstration and events will carry out throughout the day, including the Chapel Tower Climb for Duke seniors and mindful meditation in the evening. You'll also have the chance to follow a guided tour around the Chapel to view the beautiful limestone ceilings, polished pews and stained-glass windows. Be sure to check out the full schedule of events to welcome Duke Chapel back!

Duke Chapel was completed in 1932 and has been standing tall since. The Chapel acts as a beacon of grace on campus and in the community, standing 210 feet tall and seating about 1,800 people.
