"The Justice Theater Project is excited to present the rebirth of our annual holiday family favorite! Black Nativity by Langston Hughes runs from December 14-18 at two locations; Umstead Park United Church of Christ and The Stewart Theater, NC State University Talley Student Union.

Since 1961, Langston Hughes' Joyous story of the birth of Christ has transformed the stage into a nondenominational gathering that unites artists and audiences of different ages, backgrounds, and beliefs through the heart-stirring power of song, story, and dance.

With a joyous inspirational score, Black Nativity is a legendary family show that shares this unforgettable story of the Nativity through compelling gospel music and the beautiful poetry of Langston Hughes. Through love and faith, the story finds strength and triumphs over adversity to offer powerful messages of joy and hope.

Get into the holiday spirit as we return to our gospel roots in this stunning re-imagined production led by veteran Director JaMeeka Holloway-Burrell of Black Ops Theater and Music Director Ray Watkins.

The theater will explode with the sounds of new soulful spirituals and jubilant gospel songs all brought to life by our company of over 70 show-stopping singers, dancers, and musicians.
