Ever wish for a museum for adults only? During the Museum AfterHours series, things get a little more edgy. Grab a beer and explore the museum with food trucks and music while you learn something new.

If you’ve got kids (and even if you don’t) you’re probably no stranger to museums, but did you ever think that they could go beyond PG material? Museum AfterHours is an opportunity to grab a beer, explore the museum, and hang out with other adults. You can always expect beer, food trucks, music, and to learn something new and interesting.

Next up in the AfterHours series is an event focused on the science of love, lust, and physical attraction (there will be magnets to prove it!) that will have your pulse pounding and cheeks flushed! In addition to exploring a wide variety of attractive forces from electromagnetism to the birds and the bees, the ticket price of $10 also includes admission to see all of the museum. Bring your significant other and enjoy the science behind your love. For events like this, we highly recommend booking in advance to avoid the chaotic day-of ticket lines.

About the Venue

While it may not be the Smithsonian, The Museum of Life and Science is one of North Carolina’s top attractions and is a stellar destination for people in the Triangle and beyond. Situated on 84-acres and featuring a wide variety of exhibits and habitats, visitors will enjoy several marquee items like a butterfly conservatory (which is one of the largest in the world) and beautifully-landscaped outdoor exhibits which are safe havens for rescued black bears, lemurs, and endangered red wolves. If you have children in the preschool to early middle school ages, this is the place for you, and young-at-heart adults will still enjoy the sights and sounds.
