In case you haven't heard, the Hamilton tour is coming to DPAC in November, and the theater just announced that tickets will go on sale at the end of next week. DPAC expects demand for tickets to "be overwhelming." With so much excitement around the show, buying tickets is a little tricky.
Here's what you need to know if you want a chance to see Hamilton live:
-- In order to be eligible to purchase tickets, you must pre-register with Ticketmaster Verified Fan before midnight on Wednesday, August 15. This is to help real people get access to the tickets before bots try to snag them up for resale.
-- On the evening of Friday, August 17, you’ll receive an email confirming whether you’ve been verified and whether you’ve also been selected to purchase a ticket when they go on sale. If you aren't selected, you'll be put on the wait list.
-- The sale starts on Saturday, August 18 at 10 am. If you are verified and selected, you’ll receive a text that morning with your personal access code to buy tickets.
-- Some tickets will be sold in-person at the DPAC ticket center, also starting at 10 am next Saturday. No camping is allowed. We recommend the online system so you can stay in bed.
-- There is a limit of four tickets per person, so if you have a large group who wants to go, you should all pre-register. Even if you only have a small group, it might be worth having multiple folks pre-register in case you aren't all selected.
-- Ticket prices will range from $78.50 to $188.50, and will be for performances from November 6 through December 2. Start thinking now about when you'd like to go (though we imagine you might just have to snag whatever tickets you can get).
