Hamilton has officially arrived in the Triangle for its touring show at DPAC, and when tickets went up for sale a few months ago it was quite a stressful 20 minutes for many Hamilfans. While there are miraculously still tickets available, pickings are slim and prices are steep.
If you haven't been able to get tickets yet, all is not lost. In order to keep the show (somewhat) accessible, Lin Manual Miranda requires that 40 tickets for each show be available through a lottery system for only $10. These tickets are dished out in the days leading up to each performance, and you can enter for every one, seriously upping your chances of getting your shot to see the show.
Here's the deal: Head to Hamilton's lottery website to enter online or download the app for quick entry. The lottery for each performance opens at 11a two days before the show and closes at 9a the day before. At 11a the day before the show, winners will be announced, and you'll have until 4p that day to purchase your tickets. Each winner can choose to purchase one or two tickets (we recommend snagging two and being everyone's favorite friend!).
Hamilton will be in town from November 6 through December 2, giving you plenty of chance to win. If there are a million things you haven't done—and seeing Hamilton is one of them—make sure to enter daily. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you!
